Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virgina — new season start
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 14, 2012) – Busch Gardens opens Saturday, March 24 with all new reasons to visit the Williamsburg theme park.
Daring guests can brave Busch Gardens’ newest thrill attraction, Mäch Tower, that takes riders nearly 240 feet straight up for a
spectacular view of the Virginia countryside before dropping them at breathtaking speed. And later this spring, guests can experience Verbolten, the park’s new multi-launch, indoor/outdoor roller coaster that features design elements never before seen in the United States.
Verbolten is the capstone attraction of a two-year rejuvenation project in Busch Gardens’ Oktoberfest village that also includes a new pretzel restaurant,
new shows and additional performance spaces.
Busch Gardens delves deep into Bavarian folklore in a new musical stage production debuting this year at Das Festhaus.
Entwined: Tales of Good and Grimm transforms the park’s 2,000-seat restaurant into a forest wonderland where fairy tales come to life. The show mixes elaborately costumed characters, singers, dancers and even acrobats to tell the parallel tales of Hansel and Gretel and Little Red Riding Hood.
Great concerts and special events are in store for guests this year with the return of Ramp Jam, Glory at the Gardens and Busch Gardens LIVE as well as fan
favorites IllumiNights, Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town.
Younger guests will get a special treat this spring as the Easter Bunny hops in to the park.
Guests can visit Der Marktplatz anytime and get a keepsake picture with everyone’s favorite bunny starting March 24 through April 15. Virginia
residents with children ages 3-5 can get a free Sesame Street Forest of Fun Preschool Pass. The pass grants children who are residents of Virginia complimentary admission to Busch Gardens through October 28.
Guests can experience the thrilling rides, world-class entertainment, great attractions for kids and exciting events all season long with a Busch Gardens
Fun Card. A Fun Card provides guests unlimited visits through Sept. 3 and is now available to everyone.
